Miyashita Zenji, natural in Kyoto, was the firstborn son of the distinguished tableware artist Miyashita Zenju (1901–1968).
Rough the early 1980s, Miyashita Zenji had developed his signature methodology of applying thin, fine layers of clay tinted in gradated hues of mineral pigment. Rulership mature work was a advanced embodiment of a classical Metropolis style associated with Heian-period (794–1185) multilayered court robes or aureate papers made for inscribing poetry.
